The genesig q16 is designed to be the World’s
most affordable qPCR instrument. The unique
design uses no moving parts making it the first
solid state qPCR machine in the World. With a
footprint of only 12cm it is probably also the
smallest. Each of the 16-wells has an
individual excitation and detection source leading
to exceptional data quality and avoiding many of the
issues with a block based instrument. A
circular peltier element provides precise heating
and cooling as you would expect. The platform
is designed to accompany the genesig easy kit range;
a catalogue of over 400 qPCR based applied tests.

The WaferGen
SmartChip System enables profiling and validation
workflows on a single platform, by combining
high-throughput, cost-effective target discovery with
the sensitivity, precision, and dynamic range of
real-time PCR for validation studies.
Gene
Expression
Profiling - Discover More
Gene expression profiling of specific diseases
has become increasingly important in drug development.
Comparison of gene expression patterns between normal
and diseased patients or expression profiles in the
presence or absence of drugs leads to discovery of
genes or a set of genes that can be used in drug
development. This requires monitoring of tens,
hundreds or thousands of mRNAs in large numbers.
The WaferGen SmartChip System offers the
capability to achieve this level of throughput with a
high degree of accuracy.
MicroRNA
Profiling
- Comprehensive human microRNA profile on a single
chip
MicroRNAs (miRNA) are post-transcriptional
regulators of cell proliferation, tissue
differentiation, embryonic development, and apoptosis.
Specific miRNA expression profiles may be
characteristic of diseases or disease states and used
as biomarkers. The identification of miRNA profiles
has become important for streamlining drug development
processes. The comparison of miRNA patterns from
normal and disease samples; or contrasting miRNA
profiles of the same sample in the presence or absence
of a drug leads to a greater understanding of pathways
and mechanisms of action.
The WaferGen SmartChip System in conjunction with
the pre-validated SmartChip human miRNA panel, offers
researchers the ability to carry out comprehensive,
rapid miRNA profiling on their human samples simply,
cost-effectively, and accurately.

The OpenArray
Real-Time qPCR System enables nearly three
thousand real-time qPCR assays to be run on
a single OpenArray plate
Researchers can test one to 48
different samples against a wide array of
assays. The system enables flexibility in
experimental design in many research areas:
* Quantitative expression
analysis
* Pathogen detection
* Methylation studies
* Pathway analysis
* Infectious disease
studies
* Forensics
* Genetic identification
OpenArray SYBR real-time
qPCR
OpenArray® Real-Time qPCR System enables
nearly three thousand real-time qPCR assays to
be run on a single OpenArray plate. The
marriage of the OpenArray technology with the
popular SYBR® Green chemistry provides
researchers with a high density format that
not only saves time but also saves
money. With a highly flexible format and
nanoliter scale, the OpenArray platform allows
for easy adjustment of sample and assay
numbers, and enables you to generate more than
24,000 real-time qPCR data points per day,
increasing sample throughput while
significantly decreasing time and cost.
- Fast-Each run on the OpenArray
system cycles and images more than 9,000
reactions much higher throughput than
plate-based systems. What’s more, in a
typical 8-hour workday, one OpenArray
system performs multiple runs, helping you
zip through your studies.
- Flexible-You need to validate
microarray results anyway. Now you can use
one system for expression profiling,
biomarker identification, and screening
studies. Plus, the flexible format of the
OpenArray system allows you to customize
your own gene panel screen 100s of assays
or 100s of samples, it’s your choice.
- Economical-Only 33nL per reaction!
That is 150-fold less than the typical
384-well plate, which allows you to
conserve precious sample and reagents. And
the system is operated by a single user.
That adds up to significant labor and
material savings.

Patent
pending Integrated Heating Technology (IHT)
forms the basis of this system. It has long
been recognised that intra-sample variations
caused by thermal gradients within metal block
or air-heating systems causes differences in
the final product (quantity and quality). IHT
uses the concept of directly heating the
vessel containing the reaction mix and in
addition having a single, infrared temperature
sensor for each vessel to ensure truly
independent thermal control. Direct heating
also has a significant effect on thermal
transfer rates as does the ‘capillary’ design
of the reaction vessel (allows for a high
surface to volume ratio) both leading to
Ultra-Rapid thermal cycling. High
throughput, cleaner reaction products and the
ability to run reactions with different
thermal profiles are significant advantages of
this technology e.g. running gradients for
process optimisation, multiple different tests
on the same sample in diagnostic applications
where time to report results is critical and
high throughput screening. Synchrom

Patented Electrically
Conducting Polymer (ECP) Technology forms
the basis of this system. It has long been
recognised that intra-sample variations
caused by thermal gradients within metal
block or air-heating systems causes
differences in the final product (quantity
and quality).
ECP Technology uses the concept of directly
heating the vessel containing the reaction
mix and in addition having a single,
infrared temperature sensor for each vessel
to ensure truly independent thermal control.
Direct heating also has a significant effect
on thermal transfer rates as does the
‘capillary’ design of the reaction vessel
(allows for a high surface to volume ratio)
both leading to Ultra Rapid thermal cycling.
High throughput, cleaner reaction products
and the ability to run reactions with
different thermal profiles are significant
advantages of this technology e.g. running
gradients for process optimisation, multiple
different tests on the same sample in
diagnostic applications where time to report
results is critical and high throughput
screening.
InSyte uses leading edge technology to
ensure that the thermal performance is
matched by fast, sensitive optics. A
compact, high lifetime (10,000 hour)
solid-state laser provides an intense,
well-collimated pure light source at 473 nm
(compatible with all standard chemistries,
dyes and dye sets). A multichannel PMT
collects all emitted wavelengths between 520
and 720 nm-the system is not constrained by
use of filter sets to detect fixed bands of
emitted fluorescence. This allows the user
to ‘see the full picture’! High scan rates
(full plate read every 3 seconds) provide
good data sets for use in subsequent
analysis.

Real-Time
PCR Cycler "DT-322" is intended for a
carrying out of polimerase chain reaction (PCR)
with a detection of an accumulation of PCR
products during an amplification (real -Time PCR).
DT-322 allows to carry out the qualitative and
quantitative PCR analysis excepting a stage of the
electrophoresis of PCR products in an agarose gel.
The device is designed for simultaneous analysis
of up to 32 samples. A thermocycler and an optical
system of a fluorescence detection are united in
this device. All data of the last
amplification are recording into a private memory
of the PCR Cycler and can be read out even after a
current interruption occurred during an
amplification. After a restoring of a power supply
the amplification program will be continued, and
the moment of interruption, its duration and a
block temperature in the moment of interruption
will be recorded. A turning off or a hanging of
external computer does not result in PCR
termination since the process control is managed
by the private memory of the device that does not
depend on a computer.
